When driving up to Kaikoura yesterday I saw a sign that said Picton was 226 kms away. That is the distance of an Ironman race, crazy to think that soon what is a reasonable length drive is the distance that I will cover in one day using just my feet, arms etc to swim/bike/run that 226 kms!
I guess the good thing is that this realisation didn't seem scary, just kinda real!
